Collection: Capsule 25.02

The idea began to germinate in winter. What to do with the multiple clay bodies produced for each order—perfect spares if something went awry. What to do with new glazes needing to be tested and tried. And what to do in a quiet studio, with an uncharacteristically quiet mind.

I started to paint flowers; perhaps I was pining for spring (groundbreaking, I know). I hand-painted the seasons first blooms, daffodils, crocuses, tulips, on the spare lamp bodies and their archival watercolor-paper shades. It was different from our typical dip or pour, but somehow, it fit right in. And then I went a bit mad, which, as history has shown, flowers can do to you.

The result is a veritable garden, a capsule collection of twelve table lamps, two floor lamps, a pendant, a table and a few objects, wreathed in my favorite flora, and the favorites of those around me.
